Ossory Pedestrian Bridge, Kilkenny

With a clear span of 33 meters and an overall length of 45 meters, Ossory Bridge is the longest timber beam bridge of it’s kind in Europe. New concrete beams and buttress walls were constructed in the arch of the existing bridge on Kilkenny’s N10 Ring Road. 3,000 Tonnes of crushed stone was temporarily imported to raise the river bed to enable the construction.

Danesfort Parish Development – Voluntary Housing and Creche

This development catered for special needs, children, housing for the elderly and community facilities incorporating extensive ground floor crèche facilities, including landscaped and equipped outdoor age appropriate play areas. Siteworks included provision of treatment plant, communal access roads and paths, extensively landscaped. The development won a Community Housing Award for “Housing for the elderly” from Irish Council Social Housing.

Clara N.S., Clara, Co Kilkenny

Classroom extension to existing school and associated siteworks at St. Colman’s National School, Clara. The project consist of a classroom extension, with sanitary facilities, adjoining an existing school.

Lord Edward Street, Kilkenny

Construction of 13 Social & Affordable houses for Kilkenny Borough Council including all main site development works, connections to mains public sewers & water mains. The Apartments consisted of six number own door units, disabled access to the ground floor units. The development was constructed for Kilkenny Borough Council with D.O.E. funding. The construction was concrete block, & precast concrete floors with concrete tile roofs. The development required liaison with Kilkenny Local authorities to include for designs to suit disabled access and needs for social & affordable families.

300sq.m. building, traditional construction providing ensuite bedrooms, living and day room facilities, all-weather children’s play area.
